National Billing Manager
Oversee all billing operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulations. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to manage a team and collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
Lead and manage the billing department, ensuring high performance and engagement.
Develop strategies to improve billing processes and reduce errors.
Mentor and train staff, fostering continuous improvement.
Billing Operations
Oversee timely and accurate invoice preparation and issuance.
Ensure compliance with contract terms, company policies, and regulations.
Maintain a robust billing system with automation and integration.
Financial Management
Monitor billing metrics and KPIs to identify improvement areas.
Collaborate with finance to reconcile billing with accounts receivable.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Customer Relations
Resolve billing disputes and inquiries with customer service and sales teams.
Maintain strong client relationships, addressing billing concerns.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Develop internal controls to mitigate billing errors and fraud.
Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions.
Project Management
Lead or participate in projects to enhance billing processes and technologies.
Stay updated on industry trends and recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
5+ years in billing, finance, or accounting, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
Experience in logistics, transportation, or related industry is a plus.
Strong knowledge of billing systems, financial software, and database management.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
