Job Description Location: San Diego, CASchedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–FridayPay Rate: $20/hrJob SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and physically capable Material Handler (Record Center Specialist) to support daily operations in our secure records facility. This role involves consistent physical activity, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and operating material‐handling equipment. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast‐paced, labor‐intensive environment.Work Schedule:5 days per week9‐hour shifts (includes a 30‐minute lunch and two 15‐minute breaks)Key ResponsibilitiesMove, lift, carry, load, and arrange boxes, bins, and totes ranging from 24 lbs to over 100 lbsProcess incoming and outgoing orders for files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other stored materialsSafely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material‐handling aidsLoad and shrink‐wrap pallets at ground level or on cartsLoad boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually or with equipmentUse handheld scanners and proprietary computer systems to track orders and locate materialsRead and interpret labels, order documents, and written instructionsClimb and balance on ladders as neededWork on concrete and uneven surfaces throughout the shiftEssential Physical RequirementsAbility to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, crawl, and twist for extended periodsAbility to lift and carry up to 100 lbs without assistance on a regular basisAbility to push, pull, and maneuver carts and pallet jacksAbility to move materials up and down stairs and inclinesSafety RequirementsProtective footwear is required and must meet:ASTM F2413‐11 Standard Specification for Protective (Safety) Toe Cap FootwearSlip‐resistant rating of “Better” or “Best”QualificationsAbility to read and write EnglishComfortable with physically demanding workExperience with warehouse, material handling, or order processing preferred but not requiredReliable attendance and strong work ethicCompany DescriptionSkySource Solutions believes in attaining success.
