A prominent leader within the energy sector is seeking a highly accomplished and strategically minded General Counsel to join the executive leadership team.
The organization is currently navigating a pivotal phase of growth. This role serves as a key strategic partner to the CEO, offering the opportunity to lead the legal function for a complex public entity during a period of significant commercial expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Public Company Governance: Directing all SEC filings, public disclosures, and capital markets compliance to ensure the highest standards of transparency.
Transactional Leadership: Acting as the lead legal architect for strategic M&A activity and complex commercial agreements.
Executive Advisory: Serving as a trusted advisor to the Board of Directors, providing critical guidance on strategic risk and corporate structure.
Operational Risk Management: Proactively identifying and evaluating legal risks associated with a large-scale portfolio of assets and evolving market regulations.

Proven Public GC Tenure: You are a seasoned executive with a track record as a sitting General Counsel within a publicly traded company.
Renewables Industry Expert: You possess significant experience in the renewable energy sector, with a deep understanding of unique legal and regulatory challenges.
Strategic Business Partner: You are an agile thinker capable of navigating sophisticated executive dynamics while delivering modern, scalable legal solutions.
Compensation & Visibility
Location: Based in Houston, TX.
Package: Base salary of $275,000 – $350,000 plus a competitive executive compensation package.
