A comprehensive, acute-care medical center, Howard County General offers a full range of services specializing in women's and children's services, surgery, cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, gerontology, psychiatry, emergency services, and community health education.What Awaits You?Career growth and developmentDiverse and collaborative working environmentShift - WeekendsGeneral Summary:The Speech Language Pathologist specializing in Acute Care:Provides medically prescribed services for inpatients to restore function, minimize disability following disease, or injury, and to assist the patient in reaching his/her maximum possible level of functioning to assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her disability.The job duties are to provide assessments and treatment activities with patients.Work frequently requires internal contacts outside the work group to exchange work-related information.Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.Current State licensure as Speech Language Pathologist requiredCertificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred.Current CPR certification.Successful completion of Speech-Language Pathology Clinical FellowshipExperience in Acute care setting is requiredSalary Range: Minimum $55.00/hour - Maximum $55.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
