What You'll DoAssist engineers with a variety of water and wastewater system design and study assignmentsConduct field investigations to gather data necessary for engineering analyses and project developmentResearch regulatory and permitting requirements to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelinesPrepare permit applications with accurate, complete technical and environmental informationSupport design efforts for linear infrastructure and water/wastewater facility projectsResearch and evaluate engineering processes, technologies, and equipment options to inform project solutionsAssist with the preparation of technical studies and detailed engineering reportsAssist with the development of project specifications to support procurement and construction activitiesPerform financial analyses and cost estimating to support project planning and budgetingInterface with clients, regulatory officials, and contractors in a professional and timely mannerAttend client or public meetings when requested to support project communication and stakeholder engagementWhat You'll BringBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related fieldPossess an Engineer‑in‑Training (E.I.T.) certification; Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure is a plus4–7 years of experience in civil or environmental engineeringExperience in infrastructure rehabilitation and utility coordinationProficiency with industry tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software (InfoWater, HEC‑RAS, or similar).Experience preparing engineering reports, construction documents, and permitting packagesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including client‑facingAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teamsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and support multiple project managersSalary Range$98,000-$103,000BenefitsFlexible Work Environment Paid Parental Leave Medical Dental Vision Life and AD&D Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off + HolidaysVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
