Brief Position Overview
The Department of Rehabilitation and Human Services in the College of Health Professions and Science at Montana State University Billings seeks a qualified candidate to teach graduate (Master's Level) courses in mental health counseling. Candidates must hold a terminal degree (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) or be A.B.D. in Counseling Education, have a Master's degree in Counseling or related field, show evidence of the development of scholarship, and demonstrate the ability to work successfully with colleagues. Typical load = 21 credit hours/AY; summer session with possible additional credit hours and additional compensation. Salary commensurate with qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Department of Rehabilitation and Human Services in the College of Health Professions and Science at Montana State University Billings seeks a qualified candidate to teach graduate (Master's Level) courses in mental health counseling. Candidates must hold a terminal degree (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) or be A.B.D. in Counseling Education, have a Master's degree in Counseling or related field, show evidence of the development of scholarship, and demonstrate the ability to work successfully with colleagues. Typical load = 21 credit hours/AY; summer session with possible additional credit hours and additional compensation. Salary commensurate with qualifications.
Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
* Doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision, from a CACREP-accredited program or have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before Ju ly,1, 2013. Applicants studying in counselor education who are ABD will be considered for this position.• Experience in college/ university teaching graduate and undergraduate courses and clinical education• Commitment to developing and teaching online courses• Evidence of potential for scholarly productivity• Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty, professional staff, and persons from diverse backgrounds• Eligibility for Montana Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
* Interest in addictions counseling and willingness to pursue Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) licensing in Montana.• Expertise in the fields of addiction, rehabilitation counseling, and/or mental health counseling• Experience in advising students• A commitment to scientist-practitioner philosophy with experience in implementation of CACREP accreditation standards• Eligibility for Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC)

Montana State University Billings is a comprehensive public four-year higher education institution located in Montana's largest population center, whose faculty is actively engaged in teaching, research, creative endeavors and public service.
