The CNO will be responsible for a multi-hospital, community-focused region, and must be prepared to strengthen collaboration with the Board, Medical Staff, executives, employees, and community partners. Key initiatives for the CNO include nursing services, workforce recruitment and retention, quality and safety, financial stewardship, service excellence, and community engagement. The role demands a meaningful commitment to advancing clinical excellence and positively impacting the health of the communities served. Candidates for the CNO position at the company must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program, with a master's degree in nursing, health care administration, or business. A minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in healthcare, including 3 years in a supervisory role, is required. The CNO will be expected to have a valid and active RN licensure, with Nurse Executive certification preferred. The role also requires knowledge of current leadership, management, and performance improvement concepts, as well as the ability to develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care. Demonstrated management skills in problem-solving, communication, human resources, and financial stewardship are essential.
