Accounting Manager/Controller - CPASalary : $ 150 k per annum + benefits Location : West Hollywood, CA,We are hiring a Senior Controller to join a dynamic and growing team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls within a fast-paced e-commerce environment.Role SummaryThe Senior Controller will be part of a 6-person finance team and play a critical role in managing end-to-end accounting functions. This individual will act as a strategic financial leader, driving efficiency, ensuring compliance, and supporting business growth. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in e-commerce finance, international inventory imports, and hands-on experience with NetSuite and Shopify.Key Responsibilities• Oversee financial reporting and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency• Manage all accounting operations, including billing, tax filings, regulatory reporting, and month-end/year-end close• Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies aligned with best practices• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory standards• Lead accounting for international inventory imports into the U.S., including duties, customs compliance, and landed cost calculations• Collaborate with operations, logistics, and e-commerce teams to ensure accurate data flow across systems• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as neededRequirementsExperience & Technical Skills• 5+ years of hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP (financial modules, reporting, administration)• 2+ years of experience working with Shopify and system integrations• Strong background in e-commerce retail, especially businesses importing inventory into the U.S.• In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, duties, and landed cost accounting• Proven experience with GAAP-compliant financial reporting• Track record of implementing internal controls and financial policiesEducation & Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a senior or leadership role• Experience in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods industries is highly preferredIf you’re a strategic finance professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys building scalable financial operations, we’d love to hear from you.
