Nuclear Medicine Tech Location: Cape Girardeau, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,666 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Nuclear Med Tech Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 years License: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear (RT-N) Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: Graduation from a formal Nuclear Medicine training program is required. 1 years of experience as a Nuclear Med Tech in a hospital-based setting. Current BLS certification required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle complex situations. Strong team player. Description: Flu vaccination is required for all employees from November 1 to April 1. General Nuclear Medicine skills are required. Preferred skillset includes experience in PET. Unit serves both inpatient and outpatient populations. Patient ratios are maintained for safe care. Equipment includes Siemens Symbia and Siemens Biograph PET/CT. Electronic medical record system is utilized. Nuclear Medicine Technologists are responsible for various tasks, including patient care and equipment operation. The role requires proficient operation of essential medical equipment and understanding of safety protocols. Technologists must consistently observe patients before, during, and after procedures. The position includes proper handling and disposal of radioactive materials. Communication with management about any abnormalities or concerns is crucial for patient safety. The role involves collaboration with staff and physicians to ensure optimal patient care. Candidates are expected to demonstrate technical proficiency in producing diagnostic images. Room preparation and equipment maintenance are integral to daily operations. Staff may be required to assist with on-call responsibilities when necessary.
