Staff Accountant
Position Summary:Staff Accountant is responsible for performing accounting activities required to maintain the company’s general ledger and deliver financial statement reporting in an efficient, accurate and timely manner. The Staff Accountant will resolve accounting issues and assist other members of the accounting team in meeting department goals.Job Function:Prepare monthly financial statements for US entitiesCoordinate with international subsidiaries to complete and review timely financial statementsSupport monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and reportingPrepare monthly account reconciliations, including bank reconciliationsSupport timely and efficient quarterly and annual audit activitiesUtilize advanced finance technology such as AI/ML to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency and reduce low value activitiesPrepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax returnsUtilize strong technical accounting background to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Internal Accounting PolicyUpdates accounting knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizationsAd hoc reporting and assistance with projects as neededSupervisory Responsibilities:NoneQualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalentCPA a plus3 to 5 years of related experience in Accounting or FinanceExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processRelevant experience in manufacturing a plusExperience in ERP implementation (e.g. SAP, Oracle etc.)Experience in finance AI/ML technologySolid financial analysis thinking and experienceStrong experience in Microsoft Excel and WordStrong attention to detail; efficient; able to multi-task and prioritizeSolid time management and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsTimely and accurate completion of tasksMust be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident due to ITAR compliancePhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
