Transportation Supervisor (7pm Start)

Transportation Supervisor – Charlotte, NC You'll lead a fast-paced transportation team that keeps critical deliveries running smoothly and safely. If you're a logistics leader who knows how to motivate teams, resolve issues on the fly, and keep things rolling no matter what, you're in the right place.In This Role, You'll:Plans, implements, and monitors day-to-day transportation operations, including analysis of on-time reports, delivery reliability, off-load rate, and manpower needs.Reviews and schedules daily routing of equipment and manpower to meet customer needs in terms of contractual guidelines, special deliveries, supplemental deliveries, opening orders, etc.Resolves equipment failures or break-downs, providing advice and assistance to drivers, as well as submitting appropriate reports to leasing/maintenance provider for service and repair.Motivates employees, including performance evaluation, counseling, and problem resolution, to achieve a positive work environment.Supervises employees, including interpretation of rules in a union work environment, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action as required.Updates routing programs (XATA, CADEC) on a daily basis, including review of drivers' on-board computer reports to ensure that goals for efficiency and timeliness are met.Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.What You'll Bring:3+ years of transportation or food distribution experience, including supervisory rolesWorking knowledge of DOT regulations, driver safety, routing software, and logistics reportingStrong leadership and conflict-resolution skills - you know how to lead through complexityAbility to communicate clearly with internal teams, drivers, and external partnersWork in a temperature-controlled warehouse - dry, chill, and freezer zonesBachelor's degree preferred (but not required); management or operations-related fields a plusExperience working in unionized environments strongly preferredAbility to travel as needed and work onsite in a 24/7 operationThe Schedule & Setting:Full-time, on-site supervisory role in a temperature-controlled warehouseThe shift has a 7pm start timeSupports a 24/7 operation with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededLeads a large-scale transportation team focused on safety, reliability, and servicePay & Benefits:Salary: Commensurate with experienceWeekly pay (every Friday)Health, dental, and vision benefits available after 30 days401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and moreCompany-provided uniforms and work shoesWhy Join Us:We're not just in the business of distribution - we're in the business of development.
