Job Description OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards, delivering reliable power solutions to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, interpret schematics and blueprints, and utilize your technical skills to complete projects efficiently and safely.We are a start-up company and do not offer any health or dental benefits. We only offer 10 Holidays a year along with a week of vacation during your first 12 months.Must be LocalResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.Work with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high voltage equipment to support complex automation and control projects.Ensure all work adheres to NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety protocols at all times.Collaborate with construction teams, framers, carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation activities during renovation or new construction projects.Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate into safety hazards or operational failures.Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including shift reports, incident logs, and compliance records.QualificationsValid license as a Journeyman Electrician with proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical work.Strong knowledge of NEC regulations, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical code compliance.Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, high voltage installations, PLC programming basics, and schematics troubleshooting.Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills), ohmmeters, and other testing devices essential for electrical diagnostics.Construction site experience with a focus on renovation projects or new builds; familiarity with framing carpentry is a plus.Ability to read technical drawings accurately and translate them into practical installation steps.Excellent problem-solving skills combined with handyman experience for versatile troubleshooting across various tasks.Strong commitment to safety practices in accordance with OSHA standards and local regulations.
