Design Team Project ManagerFull-Time | HybridA forward-thinking, multi-discipline engineering consultancy is seeking a Design Team Project Manager to lead complex building design projects and oversee multidisciplinary teams. This is a senior-level leadership role offering the opportunity to manage high-profile, technically demanding projects across a variety of sectors.The OpportunityThis position is suited to a highly organized and technically strong professional who can lead projects from concept through construction. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for clients while coordinating internal and external design teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.The role offers the chance to work within a collaborative, innovation-driven environment that values agility, sustainability, and forward-thinking design.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, including MEP, architects, structural, and civil consultantsManage full project lifecycle including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and deliveryAct as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfactionOversee design quality, including conducting reviews and managing design changesCoordinate and assemble proposals, including scope definition and cost estimatingTrack project timelines, deliverables, and financial performance, reporting to internal leadership and clientsLead project kick-offs, coordination meetings, and design reviewsManage contract administration and ensure alignment with agreed scope of servicesInterface with contractors, municipalities, and permitting authoritiesSupport construction phase activities, including site visits and field coordinationMentor and oversee team members across multiple disciplinesEnsure project deliverables meet required performance criteria and standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)7–10+ years of experience within a consulting engineering or architectural environment5+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary project teamsExperience delivering large-scale or technically complex projects (e.g., mission critical, manufacturing, cleanroom, or similar)Strong understanding of building codes, industry standards, and design/construction processesProficiency in tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and project management platformsProfessional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) preferredPMP, LEED, or WELL accreditations are advantageousWhat Sets This Role ApartOpportunity to lead complex, high-impact projects across multiple sectorsCollaborative, agile culture that encourages innovation and new ideasHigh level of autonomy and responsibility within project deliveryStrong emphasis on professional growth, mentorship, and leadership developmentExposure to cutting-edge, technically challenging projectsThis opportunity is ideal for a driven project leader looking to step into a high-visibility role where they can influence project outcomes, mentor teams, and contribute to innovative building design solutions.
