The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and guidance in all aspects of the clinical education program, including the establishment and maintenance of positive relationships with community physicians and healthcare leaders to enhance clinical training opportunities for students. Additionally, the Associate Dean will be instrumental in the development and enhancement of GME with sponsoring institutions and other stakeholders. The role also involves team leadership, faculty and staff recruitment and retention, and ensuring that academic standards meet the accreditation requirements of the American Osteopathic Association. Applicants for the Associate Dean position must hold a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, be currently board certified, and have a valid and active medical license. A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in medical education, including teaching, educational design, scholarly activity, and academic leadership, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in undergraduate medical education, knowledge of medical educational milestones, and experience with regulatory and accreditation systems in GME. Personal characteristics should include a commitment to partnering, collegiality, and consensus building, as well as strong leadership and team-building skills.
