Mechanical Engineer I

Design Components Or Portions Of A Functional System Or Prototype Or Specific Products For Medical Device/Science/TechnologyApplies intermediate level principles of engineering analysis, blend technical knowledge and manufacturing practices in providing solutions to problems arising within the department pertaining to the assigned projects.Writes test protocols and execute prototype test execution for components and devices.Creates and/or manages the generation of detailed product drawings.Designs test fixtures/systems, author protocols, and execute Gauge R&Rs/validation for design verification testing.Must haves: BS in Mechanical Engineering + 5 years' experience or MS in Mechanical Engineering +3 years' experience – hiring manager prefers Bachelor's degree with more experience Proficient in Creo/Solidworks/other CAD packages (Creo proficiency preferred) Experience with fixture/test systems design, test method development, test method validation for design verification testing.Nice to have: At least 1 - 2 years' experience in medical device industry preferred (Class II/III a preferred) Experience with injection molded component design and/or machined component design Experience with design of small assemblies and tolerance analysis is a plus.Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of – Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans
