This role is expected to be a strong partner to the CFO; responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining strong internal controls, and partnering with operations to drive accurate reporting and analysis of business performance. This is an opportunity to join a growing RF manufacturing business where finance plays a key role in operational excellence and strategic decision-making. The Assistant Controller will have direct exposure to leadership and the chance to make a measurable impact on reporting quality, process improvement, and business performance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with limited direct supervision and will have a strong manufacturing accounting background, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, supply chain, and senior leadership.The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties at any time. Key Responsibilities:  Partner closely with the Site Leader and department managers to drive business performance while ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial procedures. Responsible for the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, & Annual financial statements. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and reserve analyses to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Support general ledger maintenance and ensure proper accounting treatment and classification for all financial transactions. Monitor and analyze inventory valuation, excess and obsolete inventory reserves, and manufacturing variances. Support external audits, tax reporting, and any required compliance activities. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve financial visibility. Responsible for leading the development of the annual financial business plan and Strategy for the site. Analyzes operating results. Helps ensure that the site meets financial targets. Prepares monthly management reports to analyze and discuss variances from expectations. Participates in activities formulating policy and practices regarding forecasting and strategic planning for the division.Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting And 10+ years prior experience in various functional areas of finance. CPA or CPA track, preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices. Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting system experience (infor, EPICOR), required. Experience with government contracting and DCAA compliance, preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Additional Skills:  Must have high integrity and use of sound judgement.  Must have excellent leadership qualities.
