In collaboration with the business leadership and other centralized functions such as accounting, revenue cycle, corporate finance, IT, etc., this individual will be critical in building and managing the financial infrastructure necessary for the success of those business lines. The individual will serve as a thought-leader using exceptional financial and analytical acumen along with industry knowledge to support, coach, and enable service line executives and operational leaders to deliver outstanding performance and results.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBudgeting and Forecasting:Leading ACO financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting processesPartnering with key stakeholders internally to develop an understanding of business unit risks, and opportunities and incorporating those assumptions into the financial forecastsBuilding and maintaining monthly close financial documentation, analyses and narrative on resultsCoordinating with Sound finance to ensure alignment with company timelines and processesManaging the development of communication materials with Sound executives to support approval processDecision Support:Developing and managing decision support tools by leveraging relevant data and key assumptions from business leaders and colleaguesConducting financial impact analysis to support decisions and measure resultsSupporting sales team in modeling potential performance of target deals and arrangementsSupporting leadership team in modeling vendor deals and strategic support development of such agreementsPerformance Management:Building and maintaining monthly close financial documentation, analyses and narrative on resultsManaging key performance indicators in partnership with service line leadershipDeveloping reports and supporting documentation on service line financial performance, assuring accuracy and clarity of resultsCollaborating with operational teams in service lines to formulate, refine and operationalize strategies to achieve financial goalsLiaison to service lines to broader Sound centralized finance teams such as corporate finance, accounting, revenue cycleValuesCritical thinkingDemonstrates the ability to look at the big picture and proactively develop a plan of actionCustomer-focusPuts customer (internal and external) needs first and makes customers their top priorityBias toward actionHas a focus on progress rather than perfection. Some SQL or programming experience helpful.Analytical, data driven decision makerHighly organized and ability to lead large projects and processesStrong financial modeling, decision support and presentation skillsExperience with CMS data, Value Based Care and risk structuresDemonstrated ability to be successful in fast paced, high ambiguity growth organizationEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Data Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Accounting or Finance8-10 years of experience in progressive analytics, actuarial or finance experience in a healthcare environment such as health plan, risk-bearing entity or medical group operationsSalary RangeThis position offers an annual salary range of $180,000-$230,000 and a bonus plan. Exact salary will depend on the candidate's experience, education and geographic location.
