Assistant Warehouse ManagerDEPARTMENT: WarehouseREPORTS TO: Warehouse ManagerAssist the Warehouse Manager in the overall operations of the warehouse, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and direct supervision of warehouse staff.Responsibilities Include:· Meeting performance metrics, including timely receiving, on-time shipment, customer order accuracy, efficiency, and inventory accuracy.· Directly manage LTL, Parcel, and Receiving Team Leads.· Recruit and train staff on both warehouse procedures, software, and safety protocols.· Provide staff development and feedback, including performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions.· Planning and scheduling staff to meet customer demands· Ensure successful order completion from allocation, picking, packing, and shipment; manage orders when necessary.· Maintain inventory accuracy by overseeing physical counts and reconciling discrepancies.· Maintain physical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement· Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols· Maintain written operating procedures and Sage X3 training documentation, including customer-specific shipping and labelling requirements· Assist in developing policies and procedures to direct the operations of the warehouse· Assist in the planning and implementation of warehouse improvement and optimization projects.· Enforce company procedures, rules, and regulations· Regular predictable attendance· Other duties as assignedDesired Qualifications:· High school diploma or GED.· 3+ years of warehouse leadership experience (lead/supervisor or above) in a high-volume distribution environment.· Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations, including common SOPs, safety, carrier compliance, and forklift certification.· Proficiency with ERP Systems (preferably Sage X3), EDI (e.g., SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, or similar), Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams.· Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and follow-through; able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.· Effective written and verbal communication; able to coach and collaborate across all levels.· Ability to work extended hours during occasional peak periods.· Bilingual English/Spanish DesireCompensationSalary: $60,000-$65,000 Based on ExperienceMonday-FridayLocation: Naperville, ILOUR VALUESEverything we do at C.H.
