As part of the team, you'll directly shape experiences used by billions of people — from Windows (running on over a billion devices) to Microsoft 365 (used by 70% of Fortune 500 enterprises) and beyond.If you bring senior‑level test automation experience for native applications and hands-on testing against real hardware and devices, let’s chat.Role Details5 days/week on-site at in Redmond, WAScope Of Work & ResponsibilitiesTest Automation & Framework DevelopmentPartner with senior engineers and the engineering team to design, develop, and implement a comprehensive, scalable test automation system to validate software across prototype devices and buildsBuild reusable test frameworks and suites from the ground up, supporting functional, regression, and performance testingIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous validation and rapid feedback cyclesAnalyze complex test failures, reproduce issues, and provide detailed diagnostic informationContribute to establishing automation best practices and collaborate on framework design decisionsQuality & Risk SupportIdentify, document, and escalate quality risks or potential release blockersEnsure automated test coverage validates critical functionality and high-priority scenariosPartner with project leadership to report automation coverage, test results, and risk assessmentsRelease & Deployment AssistanceWork with PMs and engineering leads to plan, coordinate, and validate automated tests for software releasesExecute automated release validation and provide actionable feedback on stability and readinessAssist with post-release validation, regression testing, and issue verification through automationHardware & Environment SupportDeploy and configure prototype devices or test environments for automated test executionConduct automated smoke tests to confirm environment and device readinessMaintain detailed documentation of hardware configurations, test environments, and automation setupsDeliverablesFully implemented, scalable test automation frameworks and reusable test suitesComprehensive test execution reports and coverage metricsDocumentation of automation procedures, environment configurations, and identified issuesRisk assessments and recommendations for quality improvementsApex Systems is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
