Tow Truck Flatbed Driver
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Tow Truck Flatbed Driver to join our dynamic roadside assistance team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating flatbed tow trucks to transport vehicles efficiently and securely. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and customer service will ensure that each vehicle is handled with care and professionalism. Responsibilities
Safely operate flatbed tow trucks to load, secure, and transport vehicles to designated locations
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before and after towing to identify any mechanical issues or damages
Utilize automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle problems on-site when necessary
Load and unload vehicles carefully using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches, ensuring proper handling at all times
Communicate clearly with customers, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries efficiently
Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including logs of vehicle details, locations, and times
Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws while driving and performing roadside assistance duties
Requirements
Valid driver’s license (NO CDL Required)with a clean driving record
Proven experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbed models, with a strong focus on safety and precision
Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, including diagnostics and repair basics
Experience with manual transmissions and automotive repair techniques
Ability to load & unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict professionally when needed
Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and troubleshooting procedures
Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks related to vehicle loading and unloading
