Chief Engineer- Power Electronics
Designing What Powers TomorrowAt Drive System Design, engineers don’t get pigeonholed - they work across an exceptionally broad and challenging portfolio of projects that span automotive, aerospace, marine, defense, commercial vehicle, and off‑highway sectors. Our teams design and develop next‑generation electric and hybrid systems for both vehicle propulsion and power generation. Using a simulation‑led, system‑level engineering approach, engineers are involved from concept through design, development, and in‑house testing. DSD offers the rare opportunity to build deep technical expertise while continuously expanding engineers' experience across diverse applications and markets.Role Overview Provide technical and strategic leadership in developing high-voltage powerelectronics systems from concept to production, while guiding programs, customers, and innovation.Key Responsibilities Define system architectures for inverters, converters, and charging systemsAct as final authority on design decisions, trade-offs, and performanceLead design reviews across hardware, control, and system integrationGuide control strategies, safety, EMC, and system validationOversee multi-domain simulation and testing strategiesEnsure safe operation of high-power laboratory environmentsSupport proposals, customer engagement, and technical governanceDrive long-term capability development and innovationMentor engineers and build high-performance teamsCandidate Profile Deep experience in high-voltage power electronics systems deliveryExpertise in semiconductors (SiC, IGBT, GaN) and converter topologiesStrong knowledge of EMC, functional safety, and system integrationProven success leading large, complex engineering programsStrong customer-facing and commercial skillsStructured, analytical problem-solving approach
