Facilities Maintenance Coordinator / Custodian

Job Description We are seeking a Janitor/Custodial Worker to join our team in Rochester, New York! You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment.Responsibilities:Keep buildings in clean and orderly conditionPerform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors and shampooing rugsHeavy trash removalGeneral cleaning of hallways and stairwaysFloor care and carpet cleaningRestroom cleaningGeneral office cleaning and disinfectingOffice floor care and elevator cleaningSnow removal and landscapingPerform routine maintenance tasksOrganize custodial closets and spacesMaintain the working condition of the cleaning equipment ​Qualifications:Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of verifiable experience in the custodial maintenance field, including knowledge of applicable safety practices and procedures relevant to the janitorial industryFurthermore, candidates should demonstrate:Proficiency in the methods, techniques, materials, and equipment utilized in cleaning and maintenance within the janitorial sector.Skillful operation of cleaning equipment, tools, materials, and supplies.Competence in proper maintenance techniques and the ability to perform daily and routine janitorial tasks promptly.Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and the public.The physical ability to work in dusty, dirty, wet, and cold conditions, and to lift and transport heavy objects, equipment, supplies, furniture, recycling materials, and waste.Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fieldsStrong attention to detailStrong organizational skills Compensation: $24.00 per hour Equal Opportunity EmployerCompany DescriptionMission: To create opportunities for people with barriers to economic well-being.In 1935, Fedcap Rehabilitation Services was founded by three men in NYC who had sustained injuries in WWI and literally changed the world for people with physical disabilities.
