Entry Level Maintenance Technician
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Entry Level Maintenance Technician to support production equipment, injection molding machines, facility systems, and plant operations within an automotive manufacturing environment.This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position ideal for candidates with experience in electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC systems, injection molding equipment, and manufacturing maintenance.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines and related production equipmentPerform maintenance on paint line systems including RTO systems, paint pits, and related equipmentDiagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issuesAssist with equipment installation, setup, calibration, and relocationMaintain facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, air compressors, chillers, and power distribution equipmentSupport loading dock equipment and shipping systemsPerform preventative maintenance activities and maintain documentationAnalyze equipment downtime and implement corrective actionsFollow safety procedures and standard operating processesOperate maintenance equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, and related toolsMaintain a clean and organized work environmentQualificationsRequired:High School Diploma or GEDStrong electrical background (AC/DC)Experience with hydraulics and pneumaticsMechanical troubleshooting experienceAbility to work overtime as neededAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Strong communication and problem-solving skillsPreferred:Injection molding maintenance experienceHVAC experienceAutomotive manufacturing backgroundExperience supporting paint line equipmentMicrosoft Office proficiencyPreventive maintenance documentation experienceWork Environment:Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and production equipmentStanding and walking for extended periodsFrequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and liftingPPE requiredOvertime and weekend work may be required based on production demandsEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
