Combination Pipe Welder RQ Construction is currently seeking experienced Combination Pipe Welders to support mechanical construction projects at Kings Bay Naval Base, Georgia, and nearby areas. All work will be performed on-site at the military installation and compensated in accordance with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements applicable to that location.Compensation & BenefitsPay Range: $45.15-$50.00 per hourMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off: 1 week vacation plus accrued sick timeRole ResponsibilitiesThe Combination Pipe Welder will perform a variety of welding-related tasks, including joining metal components using hand welding, flame cutting, soldering, and brazing techniques. This role requires the ability to successfully complete groove weld qualification tests in all positions across multiple materials and welding processes. Candidates must be proficient in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).All work is conducted on active construction sites and must meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. The role demands a solid understanding of mechanical welding practices, along with strict adherence to safety protocols and proper use of tools and equipment, in alignment with RQ Construction's operational standards.*Employment for this position is conditional upon passing a hands-on welding assessment. Applicants who do not meet the required performance standards during testing will not be eligible for hire.Education and ExperienceA high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position.
