SummaryCleans equipment, holding tanks, floors, empty bins and water pipes by performing the following duties. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRinse debris from equipment using a high-pressure water hose FOOD QUALITY and FOOD SAFETY. Use a shovel to pickup product waste from floor. Apply chemical cleaner to equipment and holding tanks with a bucket/brush, a foamer, or a hand pump sprayer FOOD QUALITY and FOOD SAFETY. Use a high-pressure hose to rinse the chemical from equipment and holding tanks FOOD QUALITY and FOOD SAFETY. Apply sanitizing chemical with a hand pump or foaming station FOOD QUALITY and FOOD SAFETY. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment to perform essential duties and responsibilities. Empty 50-gallon trash containers into empty bins. Must be able to lift 55 lbs. Must be able to climb on ladders, stairs, and work on elevated platforms. Maintain work area in clean, neat, and orderly condition. FOOD SAFETY. Meet all productivity and efficiency standards as outlined by management. Follow all safety rules and regulations, including active participation in the prompt identification and communication of safety hazards. Frequently exposed to running equipment while cleaning. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices FOOD QUALITY and FOOD SAFETY. Must be available to work overtime as needed, with or without advance notice. Must be able to work any shift and weekends as necessary. Must be able to do minor mechanical work, i.e., remove and reinstall guards, replace belts, fix hoses etc. Other duties assigned by supervisor. Must speak / understand either Spanish or English. Immediately report all food safety and quality issues to supervisor FOOD QUALITY and FOOD SAFETY. QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum QualificationsNo prior experience or training. Preferred QualificationsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Ability to understand and communicate in either Spanish or English language, using two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
