Heavy Equipment Operator - Utilities

We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator - Utilities to join our team in Melbourne, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support utility installation, maintenance, and repair projects.Your primary duties will include safely operating equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders to perform trenching, excavation, backfilling, and site preparation tasks. You will also assist with utility line installation, ensure adherence to safety regulations, and perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.Key Responsibilities IncludeOperating heavy machinery in a safe and efficient mannerPreparing job sites by excavating and grading as neededAssisting with utility line installation and repair activitiesFollowing all safety protocols and company policiesPerforming routine equipment inspections and maintenanceCommunicating effectively with team members and supervisorsRequired skills include strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
