Equipment Technician

Job DescriptionEV.Careers is currently seeking a full-time Equipment Technician for one of our partners that is a leading global manufacturing solutions provider specializing in advanced products for Aerospace/Defense, Healthcare/Life Sciences, and Industrial sectors, including electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions. In this position, you will provide comprehensive support for production equipment through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime in a state-of-the-art Surface Mount Technology (SMT) environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment, diagnosing root causes of failures and implementing solutions to optimize machine performance and expand production capabilities.Leverage CIM/CAM/CAD software to develop and program machine-positioning sequences that ensure products are manufactured to exact customer specifications.Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives by evaluating and recommending optimal product assembly methods and techniques.Develop and optimize thermal profiles tailored to specific products to maintain compliance with industry standards and chemical specifications, maximizing process yields.Perform routine statistical monitoring and evaluation to verify that manufacturing equipment operates within OEM parameters and processes remain stable, ensuring products consistently meet quality standards and customer expectations (including CPK-PPK analysis).Engage with internal stakeholders by understanding their requirements and collaborating effectively as a team member to drive external customer satisfaction.Support team objectives by delivering technical expertise at the equipment level and communicating clearly across all operational areas to maximize efficiency.Design and implement manufacturing solutions that deliver high-quality, cost-effective services meeting customer needs while developing technical expertise and applying continuous improvement or problem-solving methodologies.Apply appropriate tools and technologies to complete assignments, including developing, analyzing, and validating documentation, programs, models, processes, and production outputs.Demonstrate intermediate-level, specialized knowledge of manufacturing processes, product specifications, cross-functional collaboration, and supplier coordination as applicable.Carry out duties autonomously following good manufacturing practices and established procedures while assisting production line operators with technical support.Maintain comprehensive knowledge of equipment operations, process controls, safety protocols, risk management, setup procedures, and operational best practices.RequirementsAt least 1 year of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical or maintenance positionsA comparable mix of educational background and professional experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the essential job responsibilities may be evaluatedPreferred QualificationsPartial completion of an Associate's degree (minimum one year) in electromechanical technology, manufacturing systems, military electronics, automotive mechanics, or related discipline OR an earned Diploma in Electronics, Manufacturing, Engineering, or ScienceTwo (2) or more years of professional experience in electro-mechanical or maintenance positionsBenefitsHealth InsurancePrescription Drug CoverageMental Health & Behavioral HealthDental InsuranceVision InsuranceHSA/FSALife & AD&D InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityAccident InsuranceCritical Illness InsuranceHospital Indemnity InsuranceAnnual Wellness BenefitWellness Programs401(k) with 100% match on the first 4% of contributionsPre-tax (Traditional) and post-tax (Roth) optionsTuition ReimbursementFinancial WellnessIdentity ProtectionLegal InsuranceEmployee DiscountsPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid company holidaysVolunteer Time OffJury duty leaveBereavement leaveFlexible work schedule optionsPaid Parental Leave
