The Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy that strengthens lifelong relationships between Alabama State University and its alumni. This role enhances alumni pride, participation, and philanthropic support while advancing the University's mission, visibility, and strategic goals.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and execute alumni engagement initiatives, including events, reunions, and regional programmingStrengthen connections with diverse alumni populationsOversee signature alumni events such as Homecoming and alumni weekendsCreate and implement a strategic alumni relations planDevelop communication strategies across digital platformsCollaborate with development staff to support fundraising effortsManage alumni chapters and volunteer leadershipFoster student-to-alumni engagement programsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree (Master's preferred), 3-5 years of experience in alumni relations, advancement, or related field, experience in event planning and volunteer management with strong communication and leadership skills, and must be able to travel and work evenings/weekends.
