Early Childhood Programming Manager

The Kingdom East School District seeks a 1.0 FTE Early Childhood Programming Manager (ECM) who provides administrator oversight and duties, who specializes in early childhood practices around EMTSS, SEL, behaviors and inclusionary practices, who has or is eligible to receive a BCBA or comparable and/or can serve as a practice-based early childhood/preschool coach. The ECM will provide practice-based coaching with 1-3 of our partner preschools, with emphasis on universal preschool instruction, EMTSS, behavioral/developmental needs, disabilities, or special health needs. The goal is to shift to a focus of co-planning and prevention rather than response to emergencies and reaction. The ECM aligns assessments for implementation sites to complete self-evaluation of universal EMTSS practices and early childhood environments. The KESD school district has resources and K-8 structures that preschool partners can begin to replicate through support by the ECM who organizes and provides training, leadership, practice-based coaching and creation and use of systems, procedures and forms. Experience with Vermont Early Learning Standards and Teaching Strategies Gold are beneficial. The ECM will work closely with the Early Childhood Programming Coordinator, Early Childhood Education Special Education Coordinator, MTSS Programming Manager, KESD Inclusion Specialists, Director of Innovation and Learning and Director of Student Services, in order to expand access to services and programs for families with children from the prenatal period to age 8, improving integration across the early childhood system with EMTSS, mental health, nutrition, child care, health and special education. This is a one year, grant funded position. Preschool background checks may be required.
