Job DetailsDescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Plan, coordinate and prepare manufacturing budget and drive business planning activities.Active participation in Manufacturing overhead process improvement initiatives, recommending and implementing improvements for cost controls and operational performance.Review program financial performance and make recommendations for efficiencies.Perform financial variance analysis for production costs, inventory levels, and material consumption.Perform financial analyses of profit improvement initiativesPerform financial analyses of capital proposalsDeliver analytical insights to manufacturing partners and within the finance team on a weekly/monthly basisEstablish relationships with process partners inside and outside of the finance department that are critical to overall company communication and collaborationNon-Essential ResponsibilitiesAssist manufacturing operations personnel in understanding operational KPI’s and in analyzing operational variancesPrepare other financial analyses as assignedRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing operationsERP system experienceSystem proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Office 365 toolsPreferred Education & ExperienceExperience working in the automotive industry.Relevant certification (CFA/CPA) a plusOther Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteFormal problem solving skills (Lean, Six Sigma or similar)Strong communication skillsAbility to communicate financial data through detailed reports and chartsDemonstrate strategic thinking skillsAbility and desire to expand/grow career
