Systems Engineering Advisor

Overview In this role you will analyze security artifacts to identify intrusion methods and resolve issues, strengthening the organization’s security posture. You will work within a security-focused team on incident response, monitoring, and policy development to support compliance and risk management. You will leverage cross-platform expertise (Mac, Linux, Windows, cloud) to detect threats and drive improvements. Your work will balance rapid incident handling with governance, reporting, and collaboration with compliance and auditors. ResponsibilitiesAnalyze artifacts to identify intrusion methods and actionable resolutionsLead and execute incident response processes and investigationsMonitor security events and correlate data across environmentsDevelop information security policies, standards, and proceduresTriage alerts, escalate as needed, and support junior analystsResearch evolving threats and contribute to detections, playbooks, and automationsReview logs and external provider activity to detect cybersecurity eventsAssist in audits, risk assessments, and compliance activitiesRemediate compromised systems and conduct breach indicator assessmentsProduce reports on threat trends and enterprise-wide security threats Key requirements5+ years in Cybersecurity Operations or Information SecurityBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related disciplineExperience in Incident Response and Forensics, Security Governance and Oversight, Risk Management, Network Security, or Threat and Vulnerability ManagementKnowledge of information security risk management, audits, and risk assessmentsProficiency in English and Japanese language skills and cultural fluencyRelevant certifications (preferred): CISSP, ISSMP, SANS, GIAC, GCIA, CISM, CEH, GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, or GSECstrong analytical thinkingcreative problem-solvingtime managementIncident ResponseForensicsSecurity monitoring and data correlation
