CNC Lathe Machinist

CNC Lathe MachinistWe are seeking an experienced Manual & CNC Lathe Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of manual and CNC lathes while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and thrive in a team-focused machine shop environment.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate manual vertical turret lathes, manual horizontal lathes, and CNC horizontal lathesPerform daily machine start-up, clean-up, and weekly preventative maintenanceInspect finished parts using precision measuring tools including dial calipers, dial indicators, and OD/ID micrometersIdentify and label materials for traceability and additional machining processesRead and interpret blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOMs)Work safely and efficiently in a machine shop environmentSupport production needs by operating different machinery as requiredMaintain quality standards while meeting production goals and deadlines Qualifications3 5 years of machining experience requiredCNC programming knowledge preferred (training available for the right candidate)Experience with large turning operations and parts over 1,000 lbs preferredExperience operating Monarch, Leblond, and Niles manual lathes is a plusOverhead crane and forklift experience preferredStrong knowledge of alloy steel materialsAbility to read blueprints and BOMs accuratelyStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to lift 25 50 lbs as needed Shift 2 shift (Monday through Friday 3 pm to 1:30 am Salary $20-$40 an hour based on experience plus $5 shift differential Benefits$3,000 sign-on bonus for 2nd shift (paid in installments beginning after 90 days)100% company-funded Employee Stock Ownership Plan401(k) with company matchHealth insurance optionsDental and vision coverage6 paid holidaysCompany shutdown between Christmas and New Year's, plus one week in JulyPaid Time OffNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
