You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation for a more connected, compassionate world.About The RoleAs a Senior Software Technical Program Manager, you will have responsibility for coordinating efforts between Technical Leadership, Directors, Senior Directors, VPs, and the individual Engineering teams, Dev Manager, Test Manager, Program Manager, and the other Individual Contributors on each Scrum team. You will observe, report, recommend, implement, and measure all efforts supporting and/or improving the product lifecycle from concept through launch.To be successful at doing the job, you must learn the business quickly, including understanding the Regulatory, Quality, and other key dependencies at a high level, and assess their impact on the productivity, responsiveness, and output quality of the Engineering teams.Working with stakeholders and key decision makers across different countries and time zones is an important requirement. Some Engineering team members are in Europe, some in India, some in HQ in the Los Angeles area, and some are distributed across other smaller regions. The Regulatory stakeholders are in many regions covering the 80+ countries where we operate.Due to the significant representation of the Software Engineering organization in our Headquarters in Northridge, CA, we expect someone in this role to be in person at HQ 2-3 days a week.Responsibilities may include the following, and other duties may be assigned.Lead product and process improvement vision, management and implementation  Work directly with key stakeholders to understand requirements, address business and system issues  Identify and clarify key product and/or process improvement requirements, business needs and customer needs, along with regulatory and regional expectations.  Drive multiple projects end-to-end - Maintain schedules, track key milestones and program interdependencies and preempt risks.  Lead change control reviews and apply critical analysis to make crisp decisions that manage scope, effort, time and risk.  Assesses product/process issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.  Develops mechanisms for monitoring product experience or process impact, and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.  Oversees and manages the operational aspects of new initiatives and serves as liaison between business stakeholders and technical, cross-functional R&D teams.  Effectively communicates the vision and expected impact behind product/process design and details Communicate program/project status using clear metrics and specific actions plans, applying organizational acumen appropriate for a senior level audience.  Reviews status of projects; manages schedules and prepares status and impact reports.  Must Have: Minimum Requirements  Bachelors degree required  Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience  Nice to Have Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or similar field.  Prior experience with medical devices.  Demonstrated ability to work and lead within a team-based project environment  Experience with managing change across different departments or external organizations Experience with maintaining work backlog  and estimates Ability to effectively communicate technical information through presentation and through the preparation of technical documentation and/or manuscripts  Strong attention to detail and an ability to deal with ambiguity  Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.  Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Experience with Project Management solutions, like JIRA  PMP certification  The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
