Position Front Desk Receptionist / Administrative Assistant Location Whittier, CA Department Administration Reports To HR Manager Classification Part-Time Shift Monday Friday, 8:15 AM 2:00 PM (Less than 6 hours daily, meal waiver applicable) Compensation $21.00 - $22.00 per hour Now Hiring: Front Desk Receptionist / Administrative Assistant (Fullerton, CA) A confidential manufacturing organization is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and team members. This position is ideal for a seasoned administrative professional who takes pride in maintaining a polished and welcoming environment while supporting daily office operations. The role will be based in the company's showroom environment and will also assist with administrative projects, production scheduling support, and event coordination activities. Job Summary The Front Desk Receptionist / Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing front office operations, greeting visitors, handling incoming communications, supporting administrative functions, and assisting with production scheduling data entry. This individual will maintain a professional presence at all times while providing exceptional customer service and operational support. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Front Desk & Visitor Management Greet, welcome, and direct visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Serve as the primary point of contact for guests entering the showroom. Notify employees when visitors arrive. Answer and route incoming phone calls. Respond to visitor inquiries and provide accurate information. Maintain visitor logs and follow established security procedures. Mail & Office Administration Receive and sign for deliveries. Distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate personnel. Maintain an organized and professional reception area. Perform general clerical and administrative duties as assigned. Administrative & Operational Support Perform production scheduling data entry accurately and efficiently. Support projects, programs, and administrative processes across departments. Assist the HR Manager with non-confidential administrative tasks. Maintain records, reports, and documentation as needed. Event & Showroom Support Assist with organizing company events and showroom activities. Support event logistics, scheduling, and coordination efforts. Help maintain a professional and welcoming showroom environment. Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills. High level of professionalism, discretion, and courtesy. Ability to multitask effectively and work with a strong sense of urgency. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members. Preferred Qualifications Experience within the furniture industry is highly preferred. Candidates with manufacturing industry experience will also be considered. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a receptionist, administrative assistant, or similar office support role. Experience working in a professional office, showroom, or manufacturing environment preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequent use of computers, telephones, and standard office equipment. Ability to occasionally lift and carry office materials up to 20 pounds.
