Electrical Drafting Technologist

*Professional Summary* The Drafting Technologist III (Electrical) supports Engineering and Operations by executing, updating, and maintaining precise technical drawings across pipeline and facility assets. This position requires deep cross-disciplinary engineering experience within the oil and gas industry, along with a demonstrated capability to synthesize field data and complex project inputs into compliant design documentation. The successful candidate will exercise sound technical judgment to resolve design discrepancies, maintain drawing integrity, and ensure high quality standards across all project deliverables. *Core Responsibilities* * Execute, update, and maintain multi-disciplinary engineering drawings covering electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and piping specifications. * Translate engineering concepts, project deliverables, and field redlines into highly accurate CAD drafting packages. * Review and integrate site markups, photographic evidence, and as-built information into finalized technical deliverables. * Ensure all drawing packages adhere strictly to established internal drafting standards and applicable regulatory industry practices. * Prepare comprehensive Issued for Construction (IFC) and As-Built drawing packages to support active project execution. * Liaise with engineers, project managers, field operations personnel, and external vendors to maintain technical alignment. * Oversee drawing control protocols, version histories, and documentation tracking throughout the complete asset lifecycle. * Manage multiple high-priority deliverables simultaneously while maintaining precise accuracy and process safety information integrity. *Required Qualifications* * Minimum of 5+ years of professional drafting experience within the oil and gas industry. * Proven track record working across multiple engineering disciplines, specifically electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and piping. * Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD software platforms. * Extensive experience developing and modifying P&IDs, plot plans, facility layouts, and detailed equipment schematics. * Demonstrated capability to interpret complex field redlines, photographic site data, and technical project specifications. * Strong attention to analytical detail with the ability to manage competing project priorities independently. *Preferred Qualifications* * Direct experience working with proprietary client drafting standards, systems, and drawing repositories (e.g., LPDMS). * Working knowledge of pipeline and facility operational procedures. * Familiarity with instrumentation designs, control systems, and standardized industry tagging conventions. * Proficiency with auxiliary architectural and design software, such as Revit. *Employment Details* * *Location:* Duluth, MN (Local candidates required) * *Work Model:* Hybrid (In-office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday; Remote Wednesday, Friday) * *Duration:* 1-Year Contract #MS1 Pay: $50.84 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
