Program Manager - Manufacturing
Overview
In this role you lead large photonics production programs within CACI’s Spectrum Superiority line, guiding development-to-production transitions for advanced optical/electronic systems. You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical concepts to customers, and implement program, production, and quality practices to improve processes and maintain competitiveness. You will shape strategic growth plans for the Photonics organization and interface with executives and customers to deliver high-precision systems. This is a high-impact role with a focus on DoD-relevant, high-performance photonics programs.

ResponsibilitiesLead one or more large Photonics programs from proposal through productionOwn program decisions, schedule, and profitability (P&L)Serve as primary interface to highly technical customers and translate complex ideas with the teamImplement evolving programmatic, production, and quality best practicesCollaborate with technical development teams for Design For Manufacturing and transition to high-volume productionContribute to short- and long-term strategic growth plans for Photonics organizationDrive cross-functional problem solving to improve processes and systems
Key requirementsFive+ years in a Program Management or technical leadership role in manufacturing of complex optical/electronic productsStrong PM principles: scope, schedule, cost, risk managementExperience taking electronics/optical systems from development to manufactureBachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, science, or businessProficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling toolExcellent verbal and written communication with internal teams, vendors, and customersExperience managing programs >$10M in contract valueExemplary verbal/written communicationAbility to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teamsStrong leadership and stakeholder managementOptical/electronic product manufacturing experienceDesign For Manufacturing (DFM) coordinationProgram management best practices (scope, schedule, cost, risk)
