Senior SQL DeveloperPosition Type: Full time, Hybrid Onsite Contract (3 Days Onsite work and 2 days Remote in a week)Duration: 12-18 Months contractLocation: Addison, TX 75001Job DescriptionLooking for a Senior SQL Database Developer with deep expertise in performance tuning at both the application and platform level, with recent banking domain experience.NOTE: This is not a reporting or ETL role.Key Responsibilities:Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, and queries.Perform advanced performance tuning across application and database layers (execution plans, indexing strategies, query rewrites, server configuration).Diagnose performance bottlenecks by reviewing SQL code, execution plans, and system metrics.Collaborate with application teams to optimize database interactions and improve end-to-end performance.Work closely with DBAs to tune platform-level configurations (memory, CPU, I/O, indexing, partitioning).Ensure database solutions follow best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.Support production issues, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation strategies.Required Skills & Experience10+ years of hands-on SQL development experience.Expert-level proficiency in T-SQL, complex stored procedures, query optimization, execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, performance tuning (application and platform level).Proven ability to identify SQL issues just by reading the code.Strong experience tuning performance at the application level (query design, ORM interactions, API/database calls) and platform level (server configuration, resource utilization, indexing, partitioning).Experience working in large-scale, high-transaction enterprise environments.Ability to collaborate with architects, DBAs, and application developers.Pay Range and BenefitsHourly Pay Rate: $65/hr-$68/hrBenefits: Medical & pharmacy coverage, Dental/vision insurance, 401(k), Health saving account (HSA), Flexible spending account (FSA), Life Insurance, Pet Insurance, Short term and Long term Disability, Accident & Critical illness coverage, Pre-paid legal & ID theft protection, Sick time, and other types of paid leaves as required by law, Employee Assistance Program (EAP).J-18808-Ljbffr
