We champion community, sustainability, and creativity - values that are reflected not only in our products, but in our people.Why This Role MattersAs our Pike Street Assistant Store Manager, you will support the management of our flagship Seattle location, opening in May, 2026! You'll be a leader in an amazing store packed with over 80 local artisans entrusting you to help grow their businesses. You'll champion culture at your store, helping create a space where creativity, trust, and transparency thrive.From supporting and recruiting new artisans, to training and mentoring your team, you will have the opportunity to create real impact every day in all aspects of Makers. This role has massive opportunities for growth as we have big plans to expand and continue supporting Artisans across the U.S.What you'll doSupport & Grow the Maker CommunityAssist with recruiting and onboarding new artisans, keeping vendor occupancy at 97%+.Support Makers during their move-in/out, providing guidance, feedback, and completing data entry in Google Sheets & Paperform.Build strong connections with our vendors, ensuring they feel supported in-store and by email.Support Team Leadership & TrainingAssist the Store Manager with hiring, training, and onboarding new team members.Help create schedules to ensure the store is fully staffed while staying on budget.Motivate and inspire your team to deliver outstanding customer and vendor experiences.Drive Sales & Deliver an Outstanding ExperienceShare your product knowledge and passion for our makers with customers.Resolve store-level issues quickly and positively.Process point-of-sale transactions quickly and accurately.Keep the Store Running SmoothlyEnsure the store meets visual merchandising standards through presentation, replenishment, and housekeeping.Maintain a clean, visually appealing, and welcoming environment.Stay current with Shop Makers’ policies, services, and events, and communicate them effectively to staff and customers.Retail Sales Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.Knowledge of customer service principles and processes.2+ years’ experience in sales, retail, or customer service environments.Business administration proficiency a plus.Experience in team leadership & facilitation of work.ScheduleOne weekend availability day required.Flexible 6–8 hour shifts, full time role at 32-40 hours per weekSOUND LIKE YOU?
