Our software Cerbo EHR is a cloud-based electronic health records (EHR) and patient portal software system. Healthcare offices across the country, and some around the world, use Cerbo for most everything they do in their day-to-day. During the past four years, our team has grown, and thousands of practitioners and patients use our product. To this end, we're looking for a Data Imports Engineer to join our growing team.What You'll DoAs the Data Imports Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our imports, data pipeline and integration processes. You will work closely with our engineering and data teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate data imports from various sources into our EHR system.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain robust ETL processes for importing data from diverse healthcare systems and formatsDevelop and optimize data mapping strategies to ensure accurate data translation between different systemsCreate and maintain data quality checks and validation processesCollaborate with the product team to develop new data import features and improve existing onesTroubleshoot and resolve complex data integration issuesImplement and maintain data security and privacy measures in compliance with healthcare regulationsDevelop and maintain documentation for data import processes and workflowsCollaborate with client success teams to support custom data migration projectsRequired Skills:Deep experience with MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQLExtensive experience with various ETL platforms like dbt, Fivetran, and AWS GlueProficiency in using interactive data mapping tools like AlteryxStrong programming skills in PHP or PythonExperience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, etc.) is a plusFamiliarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWSStrong understanding of data modeling and database design principlesExperience with version control systems, preferably GitExperience with tools like Selenium, Puppeteer, PlaywrightOccasional weekend work (with comp time)Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or similar roleStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentHealthcare industry experience is a plusIf you're passionate about working with data, enjoy solving complex integration challenges, and want to make a difference in the healthcare technology space, we'd love to hear from you!Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision benefits401(k) with matching company contributionShort-term disability & long-term disability insurancePaid Time Off policyFull suite of remote working tools and processesLocation: 100% RemoteWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
