And because we are a global company, your work may also include world travel./ph3Primary Objective/h3pDirect and coordinate manufacturing operations teams to ensure safe, efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of MTS/ITW industry leading products./ph3Major Areas of Accountability/h3pOperational Leadership/pulliPlan and supervise daily activities within assigned areas, including task delegation, workflow oversight, and schedule adherence./liliMonitor performance against production schedules and implement corrective actions as needed./liliDevelop and execute short-term operational solutions aligned with departmental, divisional, and corporate goals./li/ululliDrive continuous improvement by identifying/implementing process and quality improvements using structured methodologies./li/ululliServe as the primary representative for assigned area(s), collaborating with internal teams and external partners to meet operational goals and support broader MTS goals./liliSupport CBI growth initiatives, 80 inlines./liliPromote and foster MTS/ITW culture and values./li/ulpQuality Compliance/pulliEstablish, maintain, and monitor processes that ensure product/service quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with ISO 9001 and corporate standards./liliEnsure all products and services meet engineering, project specific, product, and industry quality requirements./li/ulpCost Control Resource Management/pulliManage costs associated with production, comparing actual performance to standard and planned project costs./liliDirect cost-reduction initiatives related to products, systems, and projects./liliMaintain operations within budgetary guidelines, collaborating on budget development and driving continuous cost improvements across labor, expenses, assessments, and capital./liliMonitor demand and adjust staffing levels using internal resources, contract labor, or direct hiring./li/ulpPeople Development/pulliEnsure staff are trained, qualified for assigned work by creating and supporting training plans and maintaining training matrix./liliOversee employee performance development, including evaluations, coaching, and improvement planning./liliFoster a productive, safe, and engaged work environment./li/ulpPeople, Processes, and Safety:/pulliProduction Planning Execution: Develop and manage production schedules to meet targets while optimizing resources and minimizing downtime./liliTeam Leadership: Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and coach staff; conduct performance evaluations and manage disciplinary actions./liliQuality Control: Ensure output meets specifications and standards; apply Lean or Six Sigma tools where applicable./liliSafety Compliance: Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols to keep a safe, clean work environment./liliEquipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize disruptions./liliReporting Analysis: Track KPIs, keep production records, and communicate performance to senior leadership/li/ulpMinimum Qualifications/pulliAssociate degree in a relevant discipline and 4 years of applicable experience, including at least 1 year in a manufacturing lead/supervisory role OR/liliHigh school diploma/equivalent and 8 years of applicable experience, including at least 1 year in a manufacturing lead/supervisory role./liliDemonstrated ability to manage and support departmental assets effectively./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications/pulliBachelors degree in engineering, business, operations, or technology management./lili35 years of manufacturing experience with 2+ years in a leadership role./liliProficiency with an ERP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Office./liliCertifications such as CPIM or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt./li/ulpAdditional Information:/ppSince our people are our driving force, we provide competitive pay and benefits focused on supporting the physical, mental, and financial well-being of our colleagues and their families.
