Will also need front-end experience with Angular or React.We are looking for an API Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your coworkers into the application. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well.Responsibilities:Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server side logicBuilding reusable code and libraries for future useOptimization of the application for maximum speed and scalabilityImplementation of security and data protectionDesign and implementation of data storage solutionsWork on a scrum team to deliver software solutions by providing the essential benefit to the customers by delivering the simplest solution to the functional requirement.Work cross-functionally with other team members: other engineers, testers, product owners, designers, Ops, customer supportMentor junior engineers, new team members, and apply technical expertise to challenging programming and design problemsUse disparate pieces of information to drive investigation and problem solvingDemonstrate an understanding of current trends in information technology best practices and standards and how to apply this understanding to work projects and processes.Make recommendations for improvements to the technology from the assigned information technology platformJoin agile Product Teams practicing rapid software development and deliveryWork directly with business leaders and subject matter experts on the most important things that drive value to the businessQualifications:Proficient knowledge of C# (5+ years)Will consider applicants with less experience if potential to grow into a Sr. Software EngineerProficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GitProficient with SQLFront-end experience with UI/UX, Angular preferredExperience in a Cloud environment, preferably AWS/serverless including AWS certificationsBasic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3Understanding accessibility and security complianceUser authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environmentsIntegration of multiple data sources and databases into one systemManagement of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changesData migration, transformation, and scriptingUnderstanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platformCreating database schemas that represent and support business processesImplementing automated testing platforms and unit testsProficient understanding of OWASP security principlesUnderstanding of "session management" in a distributed server environmentFamiliarity with XML markup as well as JSON data formatsBasic understanding of the HTTP/S protocolPrefer a Bachelor's Degree or higher, in Computer Science strongly preferred or a related discipline with 5+ years of experience.Preferred skills to include Python and AWS.
