Product Owner
About The RoleAccountable for defining and executing product strategy for the Bank’s underwriting platform (nCino), with a strong focus on driving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. This role serves as a product owner and change agent across multiple areas of the platform, responsible for identifying and delivering improvements through automation, process optimization, data-driven decision making, and thoughtful use of emerging technologies.Acts as a product advocate and strategic partner to cross-functional teams, translating complex and sometimes ambiguous business processes into clear priorities, requirements, and outcomes that support the Bank’s goals and strategy.Own the strategic and operational direction for assigned underwriting products and capabilities, ensuring alignment with Bank initiatives, regulatory requirements, and measurable business outcomes.Identify, assess, and drive opportunities to simplify complex or fragmented processes across teams, systems, and lines of business.Develop, maintain, and evolve product roadmaps that prioritize efficiency, accuracy, automation, and improved user experience across underwriting workflows.Use data and metrics to evaluate performance, identify improvement opportunities, and measure the impact of delivered enhancements.Evaluate regulatory changes, risk considerations, and Bank initiatives and incorporate them into product planning and delivery.Translate business needs, data insights, and process gaps into clear product requirements and user stories; prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value.Actively promote continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability while maintaining compliance with all Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.Serve as a connector across frontline, operations, risk/compliance, technology, and vendors to align priorities and deliver integrated solutions.Partner with delivery teams to plan and execute releases, including support for change management, communications, training, and adoption.Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words.Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.Embraces our vision to become “Business Bank of Choice”May perform other duties as assigned.About You7 years + of product management, IT, and banking experience combined. RequiredExperience with Salesforce and/or nCino – Salesforce Admin Certification preferredExperience creating AI-enabled solutionsExperience with automation and workflow optimizationExperience with Agile, Scrum, SAFE and Kanban experience required.Experience working in complex, regulated environments with cross-functional stakeholders.Extensive ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance. This includes demonstrated project leadership of product delivery teams, comprised of cross-functional experts and vendors.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and untangle complex processes.Ability to leverage data to inform decisions, prioritize work, and evaluate outcomes.Extensive knowledge of the Bank’s products, services, processes, and infrastructural components that impact assigned products and solutions.Possess excellent organizational and time management skills, sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, creative thinker with a clear vision, and strong attention to detail.Extensive written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and project management skills. Ability to train and present to small and large audiences. Ability to present findings and recommendations to the most senior levels of the organization.Extensive ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company and with vendor partners to achieve positive customers experience and timely problem resolution.Possess strong understand of Regulatory and Compliance, and Product Risk Mitigation strategies.Background in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement)Salesforce Admin. - within 3 years. PreferredSalesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist - within 3 years. PreferrednCino Certifications (any) - within 3 years. Preferred.Travel RequirementsOccasionalThe pay range for this role is $110,000.00 - $140,000.00.The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location.
