Remote Freelance Travelling Family Physician – Clinical Trials Support (US-Based)Freelance / Independent Contractor | Remote (United States)We are urgently looking for Family Physicians in Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Indiana, Michigan and Connecticut, who have more than 1 license.We are seeking an experiencedUS-multi licensed Family Physician (MD or DO)to provide remote clinical support for ongoing and upcomingclinical trials . This role is ideal for physicians interested in flexible, non-traditional clinical work that directly supports the development of new therapies.The physician will support trial participants, research teams, and sponsors by delivering protocol-driven clinical assessments, medical oversight, and participant-facing care activities, in compliance withFDA regulations, ICH-GCP , and applicable federal and state requirements.This is a unique chance to contribute to groundbreaking research for children and adults living with severe epileptic disorders—helping bring new hope to patients with limited treatment options.Why this role may interest you: Patients are located in most states No prior clinical research experience required Impactful contribution– Directly support families while advancing vital rare disease research. Manageable time commitment– Each patient requires only 9 visits across the full trial period. Visit structureIn-person visits (physical exams, dosing reviews, observations), all conducted alongside a Certified Mobile Research Nurse (CMRN). Duration of visits– Most visits are ~1.5 hours, with two longer visits on Day 1 and Day 112 (~6.5 hours). Compensated travel– All travel to and from patient visits is paid in addition to time on-site.This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians who want to make a meaningful difference in a high-impact study while keeping the workload manageable and being fairly compensated.Required Qualifications Medical degree ( MD or DO ) Board certification inFamily Medicine Active, unrestrictedUS medical license(multi-state licensure preferred) Minimum3–5 years of post-residency clinical experience Strong foundation in adult primary care and chronic disease management Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
