DescriptionWe are looking for a highly organized, self-starter who will support the daily laboratory activities and processing activities within our pharmaceutical drug product development function in South San Francisco.This position will be responsible for solution preparation, including preparation of buffers and formulation components, container closure preparations to support processing activities, and will participate in non-clinical filling activities.This individual will also be responsible for maintaining the inventory of chemical and laboratory consumables which will include but is not limited to doing weekly inventory checks, purchasing supplies, and registering supplies into a digital system.They will be responsible for supporting the completion of batch records, documenting scientific data in an electronic lab notebook using an ALOCA GLP quality standard, and may participate in analyzing data, interpreting results, and presenting findings in a group setting.The individual will have the opportunity to learn analytical and process techniques related to protein characterization, stability testing, and drug product process operations.QualificationsBachelor's degree in protein biochemistry, biophysical chemistry, analytical science, pharmaceutical science, physical chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field with 1-3 years of analytical development or protein formulation development experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.The candidate should have technical skills to be able to conduct standard activities in a development lab; prior experience in biologics development laboratory operations and participating in processing activities is preferredThe candidate should also have strong communication and documentation skills.Candidate must be highly organized, a self-starter, and detail oriented.Demonstrated organizational skills to support laboratory inventory and process operation filling activities and associated documentation.Basic analytical techniques used for protein characterization, including solution and buffer presentation, pH, and protein concentration analysis.Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to effectively document in an ELN and filling batch records, and ability to learn and work with new software.Experience in a GMP setting (particularly processing and documentation)Hands-on experience with standard laboratory analytical equipment like HPLC/UPLC and IcIEFExperience working with biologics formulation and/or processing development.California Fair Chance ActSynectics Inc. will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
