Physical Designers are responsible for drafting and modeling in a manner that provides the client with a quality deliverable that is on time and within budget.Salary Range: $31.00 - $36.00 / hourThe salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.This opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, Colorado) candidates.Essential Responsibilities Assists in detailed design of substation and conventional generation, as neededProduces physical substation packages including general arrangements, elevations, bill of materials, conduit, grounding, lightning protection, and illuminationSelects hardware for appropriate applicationsWorks effectively as part of a team or independently with oversightMaintains high ethical and professional standards within the overall organizationAttends conferences, training workshops, seminars, and classes as appropriate for professional advancement and to maintain quality of workAttends safety training and follows safety rules and guidelinesOther duties as assignedMust Have Education: Associates degree in related field preferredExperience: 1 – 3 years of drafting, design, engineering, or related experienceProficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office requiredA strong command of the English languagePossesses effective written and oral communications skillsGood interpersonal and people skillsApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisNice to Have Proficiency with and/or knowledge of AutoCAD 3D modeling software a plusProficiency with Civil 3D would be a plusProficiency with MicroStation would be a plusWorking Conditions Work Environment: - Work is performed in an office setting and some field work is also requiredTravel: - Minimal: 0 – 10%Physical Activities:Managerial Responsibility: - Must be able to lift 25lbs.Team Member is responsible for managing their own work schedule with input from their supervisor and completing assigned tasks. Team Member should identify discrepancies in assigned work and bring to attention of supervisor or engineer responsible for the project in a timely manner.
