Finance Controller

About the Opportunity:The Finance Controller leads the monthly accounting close process, ensuring financial reporting accuracy and balance sheet integrity. This role is essential for maintaining disciplined financial operations, improving audit preparedness, and providing actionable insights to leadership. Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the monthly close calendar and checklist to ensure timely financial reportingCoordinate with accounting teams to resolve close-related issuesPrepare, review, and approve monthly accruals and journal entriesAnalyze monthly financial variances and identify operational driversEnsure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and supported with documentationMaintain audit-ready documentation and serve as a contact for auditors and tax advisorsAssist in developing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsUtilize NetSuite for accounting processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracyPromote a positive and collaborative work environment aligned with core values4. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or Master’s preferred5 to 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in multi-entity environmentsPrior experience as Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting Manager preferredPublic accounting background preferredExperience working with remote leadership teams and offshore accounting support preferredFamiliarity with multi-location, franchise, childcare, healthcare, hospitality, or service businesses is a plusProficiency with NetSuiteStrong accrual accounting and month-end close expertiseKnowledge of US GAAP, audits, and financial controlsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsComfortable with technology, automation, and AI tools5.
