About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Acute Care unit, you’ll deliver and coordinate high-quality nursing care using the nursing process — assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. You’ll provide hands-on patient care and delegate appropriate duties to supervised staff members, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.This is a fast-paced, rewarding position ideal for nurses who are passionate about acute care and making a meaningful impact on patients’ lives every day. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide safe, effective nursing care in accordance with the South Dakota Nurse Practice Act, facility policies, and professional standards.Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans involving patients, families, and healthcare teams.Administer medications, fluids, and respiratory treatments as prescribed.Recognize and interpret patient symptoms; report and respond promptly to changes in condition.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes.Teach patients and families about medications, treatments, and ongoing care after discharge.Organize time and prioritize tasks effectively to provide timely patient care.Ensure infection control and safety policies are followed consistently.Provide leadership and guidance to assigned staff, ensuring continuity and quality of care.Assist in the orientation and training of new team members.Participate in continuing education to maintain and enhance professional competence.Support a positive and collaborative work culture through effective communication and teamwork. QualificationsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Dakota (or eligible for reciprocity).Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership skills.Excellent communication and organizational abilities.Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.Prior acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred, but not required.
