Outside Sales Manager (Business Developer)
We are a growing successful Wood Flooring company looking for an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our team and to help us reach potential buyers outside of home owners and individual customers. We are committed to evolve and excel in our industry and this position is essential for our growth. We currently have 6 retail locations, Palm Beach Gardens, Boynton Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Coconut Creek and Stuart and we service from Miami through Palm Beach Counties.
Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday 10:00am to 4:00pm (schedule may change for network events)
Base plus commission – No cap to commission! Potential to make over $100K/year
Responsibilities:
The position will have a primary focus on going after potential buyers such as interior designers, architects, builders, developers and realtors for Stuart area. It will require cold calls, cold emails, and cold visits. Other responsibilities are inside sales, take offs, estimates, customer service, promotions, problem resolution, special events, and any related additional tasks needed.
In order to be successful in this position, the person will have to work independently, demonstrate determination, have competitive drive, and an eagerness to learn all facets of our company. They must have a strong desire to provide exceptional customer service and sell. They must also possess the drive to make an immediate impact on a growing company.
Develop in-depth knowledge and expertise with regards to all Quantum Floors products/services and procedures
Develop the territory by identifying potential customers and presenting our company, our products and services
Make and receive calls to/from potential customers as well as make cold and arranged visits to them
Set up and maintain displays and merchandising samples on customers’ office or bring specific samples per customer’s needs and requests
Receive customers and/or their clients in our showrooms for product selection
Visit job sites to analyze what needs to be done, understand from customer what is needed identify all potential issues,
Answer customers’ questions on products and distribution and provide solutions/recommendations by having a strong understanding of Quantum Floors' top selling and basic product lines (as well as common industry products and brands);
Responds to the marketplace by providing value through being a knowledgeable rep with quick follow up;
Attend to network meetings, be on time to work and all other appointments;
Maintain a positive and productive attitude and motivation;
Feed our CRM daily with calls, visits and updates – Relationship Management
Understand Quantum Floors departmental processes including accounting, purchasing, installation and customer service - Work independently yet cooperatively with the company and team's goals and directives;
Contribute to all sales and company goals. Assist with miscellaneous projects and duties (catalog/sample mailings, brochures, warehouse, special event planning and execution, etc.) to support team members and grow our business;
Adheres to all regulatory guidelines and company policy as it relates to safety and our guiding principles;
Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time, assist in distribution operations, and squat, bend, kneel, and lift 5-50 lbs.
Travel throughout assigned territories; Travel for sales visits, special events, and training (local/regional travel 5-25% of time).
Education & Experience:
1-2 years’ work experience (preferably in construction/flooring and outside sales)
Previous experience dealing with interior designers, contractors, builders, realtors and etc.
Degree preferred (although additional industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
Requirements:
Possess strong presentation, negotiation, communication and mainly closing skills
Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, goal oriented, self-motivated and be able to work independently
Must have personal integrity and true commitment to customers
Computer literate – MS Office & Apple Suites, CRM’s, QuickBooks & Internet navigation
Must be able to follow company’s process & procedures
Clear Drug screenings, criminal background checks, and driver's license checks are a requirement of the pre-employment process.
This is an outside sales position that will require a safe driving, parking and care for the company vehicle.
