Dispatch SpecialistLocation: San Jose, CA (On-Site)Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleOur client is seeking a detail-oriented Dispatch Specialist to join their established and growing team in San Jose. This position plays a critical role in coordinating service schedules, dispatching technicians or drivers, managing customer communications, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of dispatch experience along with a background in logistics, transportation, construction, service, or customer-focused environments. Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a sense of urgency are essential for success in this role.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and dispatch technicians, drivers, or service personnel to customer locations.Schedule and manage daily service calls, deliveries, and appointments.Communicate with customers regarding schedules, service updates, and issue resolution.Monitor routes, timelines, and job progress to ensure on-time completion.Support logistics and transportation activities, including tracking deliveries and service requests.Maintain accurate records, dispatch logs, and operational documentation.Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and field teams to maximize efficiency.Handle incoming customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts and adjust priorities as needed.Assist with invoicing, reporting, and administrative duties related to dispatch operations.Qualifications2+ years of dispatch experience required.Experience in logistics, transportation, construction, field service, or service-based organizations.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with Sage software is a plus.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and follow-through.Preferred Industry BackgroundConstructionTransportationLogisticsService CompaniesField Service OrganizationsBenefitsCompetitive compensation and benefits packageEstablished and supportive team environmentStable company with long-term growth potentialOpportunity for career advancementRobert Half is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
