Quality Technician
Position DetailsLocation: Mt. Pleasant, IAStarting Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour (based on skills & experience)Shift Details: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Core Hours)Monday - ThursdayOT as neededFull Time / Direct HireQuality Assurance Tech Duties IncludeAnalyze quality data and prepare standard and ad hoc reports to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunitiesAssess quality issues, track defect trends, and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)Apply statistical methods including process capability, hypothesis testing, tolerance analysis, and measurement systems analysis (MSA)Develop and execute inspection plans, sampling methods, and test proceduresPerform First Article Inspections (FAI) and support PPAP processesConduct product and process audits, including finished goods inspections (fit, form, and function)Monitor production quality through in-process audits and samplingControl and document non-conforming materials, including disposition (scrap, rework, return to stock, RMA)Communicate quality issues with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely resolutionMaintain calibration and proper use of inspection and test equipmentSupport Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in alignment with ISO 9001Participate in testing activities, including product performance and compliance testingAct as a representative during external audits and inspections (e.g., listing agencies)Assist with packaging validation and ISTA testing as neededSupport special projects and continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance Technician role (or equivalent) in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, and documentation practicesProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documentsExperience with statistical analysis and quality tools (MSA, process capability, sampling plans)Hands-on experience with measurement and test equipment (calipers, gauges, etc.)Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and quality systems/databasesAbility to analyze complex data and communicate findings clearly across teamsStrong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentHHT Benefits Starting Day 1Health Care: medical, dental, and visionPaid Time Off: 128 hours (prorated from start date)8 Paid Holidays401k with 6% company matchAccess to Earnings On a Daily BasisAdditional BenefitsQuarterly Profit Sharing - Eligible after 1 year of servicePaid Parental Leave - Eligible after 1 year of serviceTuition Reimbursement - Eligible after 6 months of service$10,000 Adoption / Surrogacy Reimbursement - Eligible after 1 year of service
